GelRed Nucleic Acid Gel Stain
GelRed™ is a highly sensitive, non-toxic fluorescent nucleic acid gel stain designed as a safer alternative to ethidium bromide (EtBr). Specifically engineered to be cell membrane impermeable, GelRed™ avoids interacting with genomic DNA, making it safer for use in biological research. It can be used as either a precast or post-gel stain and exhibits superior sensitivity compared to EtBr, with brightness comparable to or better than SYBR Gold when used in post-gel staining. GelRed™ is ideal for use with a 312/302 nm UV transilluminator, ensuring clear, sharp visualization of nucleic acids. Tested by third-party labs, GelRed™ is proven to be non-toxic, non-mutagenic, and safe for disposal.
