GelGreen Nucleic Acid Gel Stain
GelGreen™ is a highly sensitive, non-toxic fluorescent nucleic acid gel stain developed as a safer replacement for ethidium bromide (EtBr). Like GelRed™, GelGreen™ is designed to be cell membrane impermeable, preventing interaction with genomic DNA and reducing biological risk. It provides excellent sensitivity for both precast and post-gel applications, offering at least as much sensitivity as EtBr, and works well with a 312/302 nm UV transilluminator. GelGreen™ is a non-toxic, non-mutagenic, and non-hazardous dye, making it safer for use in the lab and for disposal. Extensive testing demonstrates its reliability and safety for nucleic acid detection with minimal environmental impact.
