Description:Secoll lymphocyte separating solution is used for isolation of cells or cellular particles during density gradient centrifugation. Secoll Separation Solution contains a polymer with a molecular weight of approximately 400K Da. Densities of up to 1.1 g/ml can be made to order using this hydrophilic polymer. For optimal pH and osmolality, adjusting Secoll with an acid, preferably amidotrizoeic acid (ATA), and sodium hydroxide is required. Sterile Secoll as supplied with a density of 1.077 g/ml, is already adjusted accordingly.
