Fast Blue stain provides a higher sensitivity and at the same time retains the linearity of Coomassie Blue R-250, i.e. the intensity of the band is linear with protein concentration within the ng to mg range. The simple staining procedure eliminates the need for Coomassie Blue R-250 giving you de-stained protein gels in as little as 40 minutes.
SYBR Green 1 stain provides greater detection sensitivity, significantly reduced toxicity, lower background fluorescence, and faster sample processing than ethidium bromide. Detecting dsDNA with SYBR Green 1 stain provides the additional benefits of picogram level sensitivity and a wide dynamic range, improving software quantitation capabilities.
