Magnetic Stirrers
IKA offers a complete range of IKAMAG® magnetic stirrers to handle various quantities, either with or without heating capabilities. Used with open or closed vessels, IKA Magnetic Stirrers handle complex tasks by precisely and effectively regulating the set temperature with the help of a contact thermometer. They also enable multiple syntheses in up to 36 vessels simultaneously.
Overhead Stirrers
IKA offers the ideal overhead stirrer for your stirring and mixing tasks in the lab - for lower to high viscosities. IKA Overhead Stirrers process stirring quantities of up to 200 litres. The stirrers features include an electronic safety circuit, a digital display, two speed ranges, and a controlling option via the lab software Labworldsoft®.
Shakers
IKA offers a range of lab shakers for mixing and shaking tasks. In addition to orbital and horizontal shakers, the incubator shaker KS 4000 has precise temperature control, digital display, timer function, and controlling options that ensure optimal working conditions. Integrated end point positioning allows for automated sampling.
Dispersers
IKA's dispersers are used for homogenizing, emulsifying or suspending. Due to their broad spectrum of dispersing tools, IKA dispersers are highly effective for a variety uses. Common disperser uses include homogenization of effluent samples, dispersing tasks under vacuum pressure, and PCR analysis.
Mills
IKA batch mills and IKA inline mills are the best choice for impact and cutting grinding. Grinding results of 5 millimeters particle size or 0.25 millimeters defined ultimate fineness can be attained with an IKA mill. Quality blades are the core of the lab mills, whether crushing fibrous substances, brittle or hard materials. Mills attain speeds of up to 20,000 revolutions per minute.
Heating Baths
IKA heating baths are equipped with a double jacket for protection against burns and a safety temperature monitor to keep the bath from over heating. Also, the heating bath's safety elements are checked each time it is switched on. IKA baths are universally suitable for use with oil or water.
Hot Plates
IKA hot plates allow for precise and safe heating and tempering due to a platform made from glass ceramics that ensures the best possible chemical resistance. The universal lab hotplates offer a high level of safety due to a fixed safety circuit, the hot top indicator, and the error code display. An electronic contact thermometer may be connected for highly precise temperature control.
Thermostats
IKA thermostats ensure safe and precise temperature control of liquids. The immersion thermostat tempers liquids up to 100ºC. IKA thermostats are able to withstand heat output of 1,500 watts and are safe to use with all standard bath vessels. The circulation thermostat controls the temperature from 28 to 300ºC. Highlights of the circulation thermostat include plug and play technology, digital display, easy control, set point limiting, and a visual/acoustic alarm.
Rotary Evaporators
All IKA rotary evaporators are equipped with a motorized lift that can lift the evaporator flask out of the heating bath if a power disruption occurs. Safety features include interval operation for optimal mixing, smooth start for a safe increase in speed, an end position setting for protection against the glass breaking, and timer function.
The digital version features a digital temperature display and RS 232 interface. A control version with an integrated vacuum controller, USB interface, and graphics-capable display is available for fully automated distilling processes.
Laboratory Reactors
The IKA laboratory reactors can be individually customized to perform numerous tasks, including production of crèmes and lotions, and the grinding and disintegrating of solids and fibres in liquids or polymers. Single-walled or double-walled vessels made from borosilicate glass or stainless steel are available, each with or without bottom discharge valve.
Laboratory Software
IKA's laboratory software Labworldsoft® enables networking of up to 64 laboratory devices which can be controlled simultaneously via one PC. You can control IKA magnetic stirrers, overhead stirrers, shakers, thermostats, or rotary evaporators and other manufacturers' laboratory devices using Labworldsoft.
CalWin® represents the newest generation of professional software for all of IKA's calorimeters. CalWin offers numerous functions to help with controlling and evaluating IKA results. All software is available in multiple platforms and easily exports to Excel or Access.
Calorimeters
The IKA oxygen bomb calorimeters are optimally geared towards different demands. Calorimeter portfolio includes: C 200, C 2000 and the C 5000 calorimeters. The entry level model C 200, the most cost-effective calorimeter, is easily operated manually. The C 200 is an ideal calorimeter for learning and teaching purposes and the C 2000 offers a high level of automation. The C 5000 combines 3 methods into one device. The C 5000 enables users to determine adiabatic, isoperibolic, and dynamic (reduced time) calorific values.
Decomposition Systems
Decomposition systems by IKA allow for the qualitative decomposition of sulfur, halogens, and volatile metals such as As and Hg. Newly designed decomposition vessels with catalytic surfaces ensure reproducible and analytically precise quantitative analysis of sulfur and halogens. The decomposition systems perform oxidative decompositions of liquid and solid organic samples under pressure in a closed system.
